BAT Machine Bumblebee Short Action

The Bumblebee is designed to use Remington 700 Short Action button metal. Requires Bumblee specific inlet to fit this flat bottom action.

The Action body is made with a combination of aircraft-grade billet 7075-T6 Aluminum and hardened 4140 Chromoly Steel to gain the best combination of lightweight and high strength. This action is 12.2 oz lighter than our comparable VR & TR actions! At 23.0 oz, the weight is very comparable to that of Titanium action after you account for Picatinny rails, recoil lugs, and the hardware required to mount them. These features are all built into this action. It is also 31%-42% stiffer than lightweight steel actions and over 130% stiffer than round Titanium actions.

The firing pin, bolt, and bolt shroud have a Black Nitride coating for smooth bolt movement and low maintenance. A Type III hard anodize with a Teflon coating is used on the action body to reduce friction and improve durability. The extraction cam is coming to extend for smooth bolt opening and improve durability. The button cut allows the use of most Remington 700 SA components, including the ability to run extended Wyatt's Outdoor boxes and detachable boxes without binder plates. The integral 20 MOA Picatinny rail comes standard. This allows easy 100-yard zero and gains the maximum capability of your scope for the long shots. Multiple scope mountain positions accommodate most scope configurations and eye relief. Note: Some uni-mount rings are not compatible with this action. These actions have proven our .070 firing pin diameter for maximum accuracy and reliable ignition.
