Returns & Refunds Policy – Overview

This Returns & Refunds Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which Cal Shooting Supplies accepts or denies returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds. This policy is legally binding and applies to all purchases made through our website or directly with our business.

Due to the nature of our products—including firearms, firearm-related items, optics, and special-order merchandise—all sales are subject to strict limitations.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.

Final Sale & Made-to-Order Products

​

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, all products sold by Cal Shooting Supplies are considered special-order or made-to-order items.

As a result:

  • All sales are final

  • No cancellations, returns, or refunds are permitted once an order is placed

  • This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Custom optics (including March Scopes)

    • Special-order firearms

    • Firearm parts ordered specifically for a customer

    • Limited-production or distributor-allocated items

Orders cannot be canceled due to lead times, delays, customer error, or changes in personal circumstances.

Firearms & Regulated Items

​

For legal and safety reasons:

  • Firearms are non-returnable and non-refundable

  • Firearms may only be transferred through a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder

  • If a firearm is refused by the receiving FFL due to customer error, the customer remains responsible for:

    • Original shipping costs

    • Return shipping costs

    • Any applicable restocking or administrative fees

Refunds, if any are issued at our sole discretion, will exclude all shipping, transfer, and compliance-related costs.

 

Optics, Parts, and Accessories

​

Optics, firearm parts, and accessories are not eligible for return or refund unless:

  • The item arrives damaged

  • The item is defective due to a manufacturer defect

  • The incorrect item was shipped due to our error

All claims must be submitted in accordance with the Damaged or Defective Items section below.

Damaged or Defective Items

​

If your order arrives damaged or defective, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

To submit a claim, please provide:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photos of the damaged product and packaging

  • A detailed description of the issue

Failure to report damage or defects within this timeframe may result in the claim being denied.

Approved claims may result in:

  • Replacement of the item (subject to availability), or

  • Repair or manufacturer warranty support

Refunds are issued only at our sole discretion and are not guaranteed.

Manufacturer Warranties

Many products sold by Cal Shooting Supplies are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.

  • Warranty claims must be handled directly with the manufacturer unless otherwise stated

  • Cal Shooting Supplies does not guarantee warranty approval or outcomes

  • We are not responsible for manufacturer decisions regarding repair or replacement

Incorrect Orders & Customer Error

Returns or refunds will not be issued for errors caused by the customer, including but not limited to:

  • Ordering the wrong item

  • Incompatibility with firearms or accessories

  • Failure to comply with state or local laws

  • Providing incorrect shipping or FFL information

Customers are responsible for verifying product compatibility and legality before placing an order.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting Cal Shooting Supplies may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of customer privileges

  • Permanent refusal of future orders

We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks with supporting documentation, including this policy and proof of delivery.

By completing a purchase with Cal Shooting Supplies, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You understand that most items are final sale

  • You waive any right to cancellation or refund except as explicitly stated herein
