The BAT Machine Vesper S is a lightweight short action based on the BAT VR platform and built around a Remington 700 Short Action footprint. Designed to reduce overall action weight without giving up the rigidity and precision expected from BAT Machine, the Vesper S weighs approximately 24.8 ounces.

A key feature of the Vesper S is its modular bolt system, which allows the bolt face to be changed without replacing the complete bolt assembly. The two-lug bolt uses a 75-degree lift, spiral-fluted body, and flat bolt face for a compact, streamlined operating system.

The receiver incorporates an integral recoil lug and modified 20 MOA Picatinny-style rail, reducing the number of separate components required around the action. A generous magazine port supports standard or extended magazine boxes up to approximately 3.18 inches, while the 2.942-inch ejection port provides ample clearance.

The receiver, bolt, and firing pin are finished in black nitride, providing a uniform dark finish across the primary action components.
