The Remington Model 700 Short Action provides a straightforward foundation for a custom rifle build using one of the most established action footprints in the industry. This current-production action is manufactured by RemArms in LaGrange, Georgia and retains the familiar Model 700 architecture with a black-finished receiver and precision-fit bolt assembly.
Unlike older Ilion-manufactured new-old-stock actions, these are new-production Remington Model 700 actions. The receiver is produced with concentric bolt raceways and paired with a precision bolt featuring the traditional Remington-style cast bolt handle.
Multiple bolt-face configurations are available, allowing the action to serve as the starting point for a range of short-action builds. Compatible recoil lugs, rails, triggers, and bottom-metal components may also be available depending on the selected configuration.
