The PTG Viking Drakkar Short Action is a stainless-steel precision action built around a Remington 700-style footprint, combining familiar compatibility with a more refined receiver and bolt system.
The Drakkar features an extended magazine well, enlarged primary extraction camming surface, #8 scope-base mounting screws, and a Stiller-style ejection port designed to provide generous clearance while maintaining receiver rigidity.
Each action is paired with a one-piece spiral-fluted PPG bolt, blueprinted and hand-fitted to the receiver. A side-release bolt stop completes the platform, allowing compatibility with triggers that do not incorporate an integrated bolt stop.
Designed for both hunting and competition use, the Drakkar has also seen success at the 2025 NRA Fullbore Nationals, including podium finishes at 800, 900, and 1,000 yards.
