Stiller TAC 338 Action - 416R Stainless, .747 Bolt
Details
MAGNUM FOUNDATION. PRECISION-MACHINED OPERATION.
The Stiller TAC 338 is a precision bolt-action receiver built around a substantial 1.400-inch-diameter 416R stainless steel body and a .747-inch-diameter one-piece bolt. Designed for large-format precision rifle builds, the TAC 338 combines a rigid receiver architecture with Stiller’s controlled machining and indexed barrel-tenon system.
The one-piece bolt is manufactured from 4140 steel, finished in black nitride, and fluted across the top and sides. A swept bolt handle, 90-degree bolt throw, modified M16-style extractor, and Remington 700-style plunger ejector complete the operating system.
Barrel tenon threads are cut 1.125-16 TPI UN-3B using a single-point boring process and indexed to the action’s top centerline. This controlled thread geometry is intended to maintain consistent barrel indexing across compatible Stiller actions and pre-fit barrel applications.
